The legislation stresses the need for an “appropriate diet” for pets, and otherwise exposes their owners to legal issues because experts considered meat-free meals unsuitable for pets, and according to British reports, more people tended to a meat-free lifestyle because they believed that this would Save the Planet ,as many celebrities have started to brag about feeding their animals vegan food in recent years.
The Blue Cross animal welfare Association has highlighted that if animal owners do not feed their animals properly, They will be prosecuted, according to the Animal Welfare Act 2006 .As Daniela Dos Santos, President of the British Veterinary Association stated last year: “The Animal Welfare Act requires an owner to feed their animal an appropriate diet and if your personal belief system means you don’t want to eat any animal protein, that’s fine, but this diet is not designed to meet your pet’s welfare standards.”
