The doctor explained that he is optimistic that children will be able to get the Corona vaccine in November. Pfizer, in cooperation with the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), has issued public documents about the effectiveness of the children’s dose of the virus vaccine, and the company’s data found that the vaccine was 90.7% effective against diseases in which its symptoms appeared in children aged 5 to 11 years.
The US Food and Drug Administration also announced that the benefits of giving the vaccine to children outweigh the risks. And a meeting of the independent advisory group will be held next Tuesday in order to discuss whether they should license the Corona vaccine for children or not. If this is authorized, it will become the first vaccine available for younger children that is already approved for children 12 to 15 years of age and is approved for people 16 years of age or older.
Fauci explained that the data looks good in terms of safety and protection, and that Pfizer allows children’s doses according to the permission of the Food and Drug Administration, and former FDA and Pfizer board member Dr. Scott Gottlieb added that the company will provide doses for children as soon as the US Food and Drug Administration signs it.
