Who plays the Joker in The Batman? If you watched the latest superhero movie The Batman, you’ll notice a familiar laugh in one of the final scenes in the mental institution. And if you thought that the one with the laugh was Batman’s famous enemy, the Joker, you’re right.
Who plays the Joker in The Batman?
Director Matt Reeves has confirmed the identity of the Joker in the sanatorium scene in his latest movie, Batman, which was the actor Barry Keoghan.
Barry had been announced to join the film in 2020 without revealing his role, but press cameras took pictures of the actor in a police uniform, which led the audience to think that the actor would play the role of policeman Stanley Merkel, who was one of the characters in the comics of “Batman” until that time. The director revealed that it was an attempt to distract the audience.
At the end of The Batman, serial killer Edward Nachton, who’s known as the Riddler, is captured. One day in prison, another prisoner in front of him tries to cheer him up by saying, “One day you’re on top, the next day you’re a clown,” and the Joker laughs.
Reeves revealed to IGN that there was another scene featuring the Joker and Batman but it was deleted, saying, “There is another very good scene but you’ll see it later.”
The Batman, starring Robert Pattinson, Zoe Kravitz, Paul Dano, and Jeffrey Wright, is currently being shown in Egyptian cinemas.
