The show, which previously starred Alfred Molina, Victor Garber, and Alain Alda in New York, won a 1998 Tony Award for the best play. Alec Baldwin’s last major Broadway play was “Orphans” in 2013.

This show marks Alec Baldwin’s first artistic participation since the 2021 shooting accident that killed cinematographer Helena Hutchins while filming “Rust” in New Mexico, and which occurred while the actor was carrying a gun full of live ammunition.
