Amber Heard takes formal action to Appeal Jury Decision, as The cassation memorandum filed on July 1 by Amber Heard‘s legal team in Virginia Circuit Court reads: “For all reasons previously stated, and for reasons set forth in the record during the hearings and in the trial in the lawsuit filed and requests for cassation, Amber Heard requests the bench to set aside the jury’s ruling. issued against her in Johnny Depp’s favour, and refused to complain or order a new trial, because the judgment had not been properly reviewed by court officials.”
For his part, Johnny Depp’s attorney responded in his petition that his client only embarked on defamation through an implicit theory, abandoning any claims that Amber Heard’s statements were in fact false, which is the opposite of her claim that the jury’s decision against her was exaggerated. Johnny Depp’s lawyer at the time dismissed Amber Heard’s appeal as “lack of objectivity”.
The lawsuit also stated that one of the jurors proved that he was born after 1945, while the available information shows that he was born in 1970, and therefore this discrepancy raises the question of whether the juror actually received a summons to serve on the jury and his data was carefully reviewed by The court, and the appeal submitted, revealed that the court is obligated to verify the identity of the jurors, which is the opposite of what happened.
