This is the second time that Swedish director “Robin Ostlund” has won the Palme d’Or, having won it for the first time in 2017 for “The Square.”

The film revolves around a celebrity couple in the modelling industry who are invited to cruise on a luxury yacht, but the yacht sinks and everyone ends up on the surface of a distant island, and their struggle for survival begins.

Triangle of Sadness is a Swedish-English-French-German co-production directed by Robin Ostlund and starring Woody Harrelson, Harris Dickinson, Charlby Dean, Hana Oldenburg, Carolina Jenning, and Oliver Ford Davis.

The film’s budget was around ten million euros. The film was fully shot in Greece.
